TV host Thorsten Schorn (50) made a rare red carpet appearance with his husband. Both beamed for the cameras at the summer party of the Film and Media Foundation NRW in Cologne. The ESC commentator presented himself in a light-colored jacket with matching pants and a blue patterned shirt. His husband opted for a combination of a gray-beige jacket and pants, underneath which he wore a white shirt.
The couple rarely appears together in public and keeps their relationship private. Schorn celebrated his coming-out in 2014 on a 1Live radio show. He worked as a host at the station for around 16 years until 2017. After that, he moved to WDR 2.

Thorsten Schorn and his husband were not the only couple on the red carpet. Christoph Maria Herbst came together with his wife Gisi. In addition, other celebrities from the German media industry were represented, including TV host Laura Karasek, actor Henning Baum, comedian Martina Hill and actress Annette Frier. As the Film and Media Foundation NRW announced on Instagram, around 800 personalities "from film, television, media, culture, business and politics" were in attendance.
This year celebrated the 35th anniversary of the foundation. It awards funding to producers, filmmakers, screenwriters and media companies and also supports the development of Cologne as a media location and the entire state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
