Is Taylor Swift (36) getting married at Madison Square Garden of all places? According to reports from various US gossip portals, the singer is said to have chosen the arena in New York City for her wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce (36). According to "TMZ", the couple is said to have rented the arena for at least three days. 1,000 guests are allegedly invited to the celebrations, with the wedding ceremony itself scheduled to take place on July 3rd. None of this has been confirmed yet. Now the "Daily Mail" reports, citing insiders, that the reports about a wedding at Madison Square Garden could be a deliberate distraction.

All Just a Distraction?

"Taylor's official wedding will not have 1,000 guests", one of the sources is quoted as saying. Instead, a "private and strictly secured ceremony for close family and friends" is planned. However, there is something to the famous venue - just not necessarily the wedding ceremony itself.

According to another insider from the "Daily Mail", guests allegedly received QR codes with instructions to appear at Madison Square Garden on July 3rd. However, these have not yet been sent out. Some guests suspect that the arena could merely serve as a checkpoint and security station, from which guests would then be directed to another location. Another source claims that the reports are meant to distract from the actual wedding location: "According to one of the few people the couple is said to have entrusted with their wedding secret, New York is just a distraction."

These Locations Are Also Being Discussed

However, a wedding at Madison Square Garden is not entirely far-fetched. It could meet Taylor Swift's high security requirements, writes the "Daily Mail". Moreover, Swift has strong connections to New York City. The singer owns multiple properties there and even dedicated the song "Welcome to New York" to it.

However, Swift's estate in Rhode Island is also being discussed as a possible wedding venue. One source now said that the location is "not completely out of the running". Another explained that it would offer the most privacy. There's also talk of a kind of "wedding tour" around the July 4th holiday weekend - with smaller gatherings in New York, Rhode Island, and Kelce's hometown of Kansas City. So far, however, everything remains speculation.
