Reality TV star Mike Cees has become a father for the first time. As the "Sommerhaus der Stars" celebrity confirmed to the "Bild" newspaper, his daughter was born on Saturday afternoon at a Munich clinic. "Our little miracle is here", he said - referring to the premature birth. According to Cees, when the girl was born, she weighed only 1,300 grams. "That's why we had to worry during the birth", he reported.
According to the reality star, the birth lasted around 20 hours. "The baby's care in the womb wasn't good at times and we had to decide what to do", he told the newspaper. His girlfriend and he are grateful that, thanks to the chief physician and his assistant, everything went well. The baby was in intensive care until Tuesday afternoon. By now, his daughter weighs 1,483 grams.
Reality star cried after his daughter's birth
The birth of his daughter deeply moved Cees. "I cried my eyes out when I held her in my arms for the first time", the 38-year-old revealed. "The moment we saw our daughter for the first time, everything else suddenly became unimportant." Only since that moment does he know "what love really is".
The TV star did not reveal his daughter's name. The child's mother also stays out of the public eye. According to Cees, the two had reconciled after a relationship crisis. "As parents, we're an amazing team", he said. "We function well as a family again now."
He traveled from his adopted home of Dubai to Munich for the birth. Initially, the family wants to live together in Munich. However, he doesn't rule out moving. "I've actually written off Germany and Germany has written me off", Cees explained.
