Helene Fischer (41) is coming to Schladming this winter. The singer will open the winter season in the Styrian region of Schladming-Dachstein on December 11, 2026, together with her band and will perform at the Planai finish stadium. The performance was confirmed on Tuesday on the ski opening's website, and the associated Instagram channel made the news public on the same day. "Now it's finally official, I'm coming to Austria", the singer explains in the announcement video. "I'm incredibly excited to see you all."
Around 16,000 tickets will be made available for the evening, as "ORF Steiermark" reports. According to the organizer, presales will start on August 3 at 10 a.m., exclusively via oeticket.com.
A Concert with Band Only
Fischer will probably not appear in Schladming with the machinery of her stadium shows. A concert format with her band only has been announced, which the organizers describe as "personal, intense and intimate". Against the backdrop of the Dachstein, she will present her greatest hits.
Successor to Robbie Williams and the Backstreet Boys
Fischer celebrated her 20th stage anniversary this summer with her 360-degree stadium tour. The concert series toured through Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands and ended on July 17 in Munich.
Organizer Klaus Leutgeb, managing director of the Leutgeb Entertainment Group, is thrilled about the star guest in Schladming: "A heartfelt wish is coming true", he said according to ORF. "She's not only a superstar, she's not only a special, extraordinary artist, she's above all a really, really wonderful person and that's why I'm really, really happy."
In the official announcement, Leutgeb further contextualizes the date: "The fact that she's opening the winter season in Schladming-Dachstein together with her band is something extraordinary for us. Our guests will experience Helene Fischer here as up close and personal as hardly anywhere else." Whether it will remain just one evening is still open. On Tuesday, Leutgeb did not rule out additional performances by the singer in Schladming.
Andreas Keinprecht, chairman of the Schladming-Dachstein tourism region involved in the event, also expressed his delight about the booking. "We were truly breathless when Klaus came around the corner with this and said, you know, we have the opportunity to get Helene Fischer to come to us", ORF quotes the tourism chief. "Simply phenomenal."
Numerous international stars have already performed at the ski opening in Schladming. Robbie Williams has taken the stage there, as have Sting, Simply Red and Bryan Adams. Last year, the Backstreet Boys performed.
