Laura Papendick (37) and Alexander Hindersmann (37) have welcomed another child: As the RTL sports presenter and the former "Bachelorette" candidate announced on Instagram on Monday, their second son has arrived. Alongside a video showing the family holding and caressing the newborn's tiny feet, they wrote: "Finally you're here. We've been waiting for you for so long and looking forward to meeting you."
An "emotional roller coaster" lies behind them, "but both mom and the little man are doing well", the post continues. "We are simply proud, grateful and overjoyed. Now it's time to get to know each other and enjoy lots of time as a family." The couple had already revealed at the end of May that they were expecting another boy.
Congratulations from numerous TV colleagues quickly gathered under the baby post. Andreas von Thien wrote: "A World Cup baby!!! That means the title has to work out... Congratulations!" Sabrina Mockenhaupt commented: "What wonderful news! Enjoy this incredibly precious and beautiful cuddle and bonding time." Frauke Ludwig and Annika Lau chimed in with a "how lovely", Angela Finger-Erben left a "Congratulations!!!" along with a red and blue heart. Viola Weiss wished them "all the best for the four of you from the bottom of my heart", and Marco Schreyl also sent "Heartfelt congratulations to you both".
First Child Arrived in 2023
For Papendick, who has been part of RTL's sports team since 2021, the second pregnancy also has professional consequences: The presenter did not cover this year's World Cup. However, she announced that she wants to return to work eight weeks after giving birth. She made her pregnancy public in February. It was a great gift to be expecting another child, she told RTL at the time. They could hardly wait to become a family of four.
In 2022, the presenter and the 2018 "Bachelorette" winner made their relationship public. At the end of June 2023, Papendick and Hindersmann became parents for the first time. Shortly before his third birthday, their son has now become a big brother.
