"Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker (61) celebrated her twin daughters' 17th birthday with a public declaration of love. On Monday, the actress shared on Instagram several rare photos of Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge Broderick along with a heartfelt message.

"June 22, 2009", Parker began her caption, referring to the twins' date of birth. "Today you are 17. And wise. And good. And happy. And wonderfully on your way. And funny. And a loyal friend. And beloved daughters." In closing, she addressed her children directly: "Happy birthday, my dearest Loretta and Tabitha. In admiration and with all my love."

"I really like my twins"

With her husband Matthew Broderick (64), Parker has the twins, who were born via surrogate, as well as their older son James Wilkie (23). The couple largely keeps their children out of the public eye, but over the years the actress has occasionally provided small glimpses into their lives. In April 2025, the "And Just Like That..." star talked about her daughters on the show "Jenna and Friends" and shared insights about parenting. "I feel like there's a somewhat unfair notion of teenage twin girls. I really like my twins."

In conversation with hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Justin Sylvester, Parker continued to rave about her daughters' personalities: "I really love their company. They are so interesting." Overall, the two are "really sweet and curious".

In a 2018 interview with "People", Parker had already spoken about the sisters' close bond, noting that despite their connection they have different personalities. "They are really very devoted to each other, but they also say: 'I need time alone.' Tabitha can occupy herself alone for hours. Loretta constantly needs reassurance."
