Reese Witherspoon (50) has presented her new partner to a large audience for the first time. At the premiere of the series "Elle" in New York, the actress appeared on the red carpet alongside Oliver Haarmann (58). It was the couple's first joint appearance in front of rolling cameras - Witherspoon was also accompanied by her son Deacon Phillippe (22).

Long-Kept Private Romance

Witherspoon had previously kept her relationship with the German financier hidden from the public. The two are said to have been a couple since 2024, as reported by the "Daily Mail". The actress chose the premiere of the prequel series to her cult comedy "Natürlich blond" from 2001 as the occasion to take this major step into the public eye.

Complete with loving glances: Witherspoon repeatedly looked at her partner adoringly, and holding hands, the two stayed close together throughout the evening. For her appearance, the founder of media company Hello Sunshine chose a pink, semi-transparent lace dress with an off-shoulder cut and short, airy sleeves. Her partner wore a tie in the same shade with his dark suit, while son Deacon chose a fuchsia tone to go with his dark two-piece.

Eventful Years Behind Her

Witherspoon got together with Haarmann after her surprising marriage ended with Jim Toth (55) in 2023. The marriage to the former Creative Artists Agency manager had lasted twelve years. Previously, Witherspoon had been married to her "Eiskalte Engel" co-star Ryan Phillippe (51) from 1999 to 2006. Deacon and Ava Philippi (26) came from this marriage.

According to the "Daily Mail", the romance with Haarmann first became known in July 2024 - almost a year after Witherspoon and Toth, who have a now 13-year-old son Tennessee, finalized their divorce. The actress had filed in April 2023, just one week after announcing the separation on social media and a few days after their twelfth wedding anniversary.

Their statement at the time read: "With great care and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce." They would move forward "with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together".
