Adele (38) backs up her words with actions. After recently revealing that her son ignited a Formula 1 passion in her, the singer was spotted at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit. It's a rare sight, as the superstar seldom shows herself in public.

Adele apparently didn't want to miss the race at the track near the small community of Silverstone in the county of Northamptonshire. In photos from the Grand Prix taken on July 5, 2026, she strolls through the paddock wearing sunglasses. In the pictures, Adele is wearing a black t-shirt with a print celebrating Lando Norris's (26) F1 world championship title from 2025.

As usual, Adele was naturally not the only star at the racetrack. Also in attendance were veteran rocker Brian May (78) of Queen, actor Damson Idris (34), "Ted Lasso" star Hannah Waddingham (51), as well as soccer player Jamie Vardy (39) with his spouse Rebekah (44).

Adele and her son love motorsport

In a surprisingly open and rare interview by her standards, Adele recently spoke about her son Angelo while visiting the McLaren Racing team headquarters, where she also met Lando Norris, among others. The singer revealed that a few years ago, her son suddenly became interested in karting, a fairly classic entry into motorsport. "He just asked about it at some point, and I thought: Okay," Adele recounted. "I don't know many teenagers who really have a passion, so I'm trying to nurture it." Both her offspring and she herself are like "obsessed."

Formula 1 somehow feels like a "secret club" to her, even though millions of people are interested in motorsport. Adele, who has lived in Los Angeles for years, shared that sometimes friends come to her home as early as 6:00 a.m., she cooks chili, and the group then watches races together.
