Just on Thursday, Eric Stehfest (37) made his new relationship public. He shared on Instagram a joint photo with his partner Sarah for the first time. The former "GZSZ" actor is also already thinking about marriage. "Next comes my divorce, because I would like to marry Sarah", he told "Bild" newspaper.
His still-wife Edith Stehfest (30) responded to this statement with a dig on Instagram. "POV: He wants to get married but forgot that we're not even divorced yet", she wrote alongside a video in which she lip-syncs to Sido's song "Nein". "What am I supposed to say about that?", she added, followed by a laughing-crying emoji. The hashtag "#ericstehfest" makes it clear that she's referring to her ex-partner.
Separated for almost a year
Eric and Edith Stehfest were a couple for ten years. They married in 2015 after a year of dating. In 2016, their son Aaron Amadeus was born, followed by daughter Aria Litera in 2021. In September 2025, Eric Stehfest announced their separation. On paper, they are still married, but their relationship couldn't be more strained. They are engaged in a publicly fought custody battle. Eric Stehfest had emphasized when announcing the separation that they wanted to remain a team for their children.
In spring, both still appeared together on camera for the reality show "Promis unter Palmen". There, Eric Stehfest got to know Franziska Temme (31) better. Later, he clarified that their connection never went beyond a getting-to-know-each-other phase.
Now, in his new relationship post, Eric Stehfest stated that he had found the "love of my life" in his girlfriend Sarah. "Sometimes you only find true love after the worst storm, when faith in true love has almost died out", he wrote. Both he and Sarah have "been through hell". He believes there's a specific reason for that: "So that we could meet on the other side."
