In the twelfth episode of "Prominent getrennt" (RTL+), the finale is upon us. Shortly before the final decision, Tessa Bergmeier (36) and Jakob Morgenstern (40) have to leave the villa after a poor performance in a challenge. "I think cutting off contact is best, I also don't want you to get your hopes up", Tessa explained to her ex-partner shortly before the farewell. "For me, this is over."
Harmony or eternal discord?
This left Samira (29) and Yasin Cilingir (35), Vanessa Brahimi (29) and Richard Sternberg (30), Bianca Eigenfeld (25) and Joshi Josh (26), as well as Aleks Petrovic (35) and Vanessa Nwattu (26) still in the race for the prize money. Especially with the latter ex-couple, there has been quite a bit of drama in the villa over the past few weeks. "I'm just incredibly proud of us, how we started, how we really developed - we did really well", Aleks initially said in a conciliatory tone, before there were more frictions including tears at the final dinner.
"The moment the champagne glass was thrown in my face was the moment I realized why we broke up", Vanessa explained about the incident during the ex-couple's "time alone" talk. After another argument at the dinner table, in which Aleks accused her of constant provocations, Vanessa admitted: "I'm just tired of being exposed to his harmful behavior." No matter how much she wished to part ways amicably with her ex and stay in contact, "that wouldn't be good for me". After this dinner, it was clear that she no longer wants to have anything to do with this person.
"History forever"
In the first semifinal, Samira and Yasin prevailed over Richard and Vanessa. "We can really part on good terms here", Vanessa declared at the final farewell from her ex. "I wish you the best for your life", Richard also showed himself finally free from his ex-relationship. In the second semifinal, Joshi Josh and Bianca prevailed. "We agreed that we don't agree", the eliminated Aleks said about the past days with his ex under one roof, which didn't bring the hoped-for peaceful conclusion to the relationship. "Aleks and Vanessa are history forever."
In the finale, the remaining two couples had to stack blocks on a board into a tower and balance the tower to the finish line. Samira and Yasin were able to master the challenge and rang the winner's bell, which earned them 14,900 euros in prize money. The signs afterward pointed to reconciliation for both, in contrast to many of their competitors. "Without 'Prominent getrennt' he would have gone his way and I mine", Samira said. "We won and won each other back", the winner emphasized. How things continued for the duo and the rest of the candidates after the reality show will be revealed in the reunion episode with host Charlotte Engelhardt (48).
