The Swedish royal family can't stop celebrating: After the grand celebrations for the golden wedding anniversary of King Carl XVI Gustaf (80) and Queen Silvia (82) last Saturday, grandson Prince Nicolas takes center stage two days later.

His mother Princess Madeleine (44) congratulated him on Monday in a post on her Instagram account: "Happy 11th Birthday, Nicolas! We all love you so much!" She also published a picture showing the now eleven-year-old in a white polo shirt. The boy looks into the camera with a smile.

Nicolas is the second-born child of Princess Madeleine and her husband Chris O'Neill (51). The couple also has two daughters: Princess Leonore (12) and Princess Adrienne (8).

Chris O'Neill also has a birthday soon

Just on June 10, Madeleine herself had reason to celebrate. She turned 44 years old. The Swedish palace published for this occasion a new portrait of the youngest daughter of the Swedish royal couple. It showed the princess sitting on a stone staircase wearing a cream-colored blazer and jeans. On her wrist, she wore a handmade friendship bracelet with the word "Childhood". Madeleine has been involved for many years with the "World Childhood Foundation" founded by Queen Silvia. And on June 8, the princess was able to celebrate her 13th wedding anniversary with her husband. On June 27, the next celebration is already coming up for the family: The businessman will turn 52 years old.
