"DSDS" star Pietro Lombardi (34) was involved in a car accident last weekend. As reported by the "Bild" newspaper among others, the 34-year-old's vehicle collided with that of another road user at an intersection in Cologne on Sunday. According to reports, neither the police nor the artist's management provided more detailed information about the exact circumstances. A spokesperson for Lombardi only confirmed that the accident had occurred.
In a statement from the police authority, it says that "a 20-year-old party involved sustained minor injuries" from the impact. Nothing is known about whether Lombardi also suffered injuries. The course of the accident is currently being analyzed and corresponding investigations are being initiated.

The singer has not yet personally commented on the accident on his official Instagram account either. His stories only show some impressions of a performance the star had just given. Lombardi had performed at a family and children's festival in Oberhausen.
For Lombardi, this ended an already turbulent week with a negative experience. The musician had just celebrated his 34th birthday on June 9, though not in an ordinary way. The former "DSDS" winner had traveled to Mallorca for a performance at Megapark.
"Having a performance on my birthday is also a wild thing to experience. Looking forward to it", he wrote at the time in an Instagram story about the event announcement. Later, he checked in personally from the airport before the flight to Mallorca and emphasized: "What a birthday party together with you guys." However, Lombardi didn't stay on the Spanish vacation island for long: right after the performance, he headed back home.
