At TSV 1860 Munich, a prominent name could soon be taking the field: Mathew Collins (21), son of pop legend Phil Collins (75) and half-brother of "Emily in Paris" star Lily Collins (37), completed a training session with the traditional Munich club on Monday, as reported by "t-online.de" among others. The footballer holds a Swiss passport and could transfer to the "Lions" - though nothing is certain yet. Monday's session could also have been a trial training for the celebrity offspring.

Recently a Second Division Player in Austria

Collins holds citizenship of Switzerland and England, is the son of pop legend Phil Collins and his third wife, Swiss national Orianne Cevey (52). His half-sister Lily, on the other hand, is from Phil Collins' marriage to his second wife Jill Tavelman (70), an American. Collins played last season in Austria for second division club SV Austria Salzburg, making his debut in the 2nd division there in September 2025. He made a total of four appearances for Salzburg over the course of the season. Previously he played for WSG Tirol, but didn't manage to make an appearance for the professional team there.

Training Start Without Last Season's Stars

The 21-year-old was the only recognizable name on the field at the start of training. Despite currently unclear future prospects, the "Lions" began their summer training, appearing for the first time at Grünwalder Straße in front of their fans after the forced relegation to the Regionalliga. Among the 24 field players and three goalkeepers were mainly youth prospects.

From last season's professional squad, only Lasse Fassmann, Samuel Althaus and Loris Husic remained. Players without valid contracts for the fourth division - including former Bundesliga professionals Kevin Volland and Florian Niederlechner - were absent.
