Madonna (67) once again drew all eyes to her at Paris Fashion Week. On her way to an evening event in the equally heat-stricken French capital, the pop icon chose a see-through mini dress in cobalt blue - and went without a support garment under the transparent fabric.
The look was completed with silver over-the-knee boots, nude fishnet tights, and color-coordinated jewelry. When leaving the location, the American had put on sunglasses and in some photos threw a metallic shiny jacket over her arm. Her blonde hair fell in curled waves over her shoulders. Flanked by bodyguards, Madonna left the hotel The Ritz with a serious expression.
Reconciliation with Charli XCX
Earlier in the week, Madonna had already made headlines at the same fashion marathon - alongside Charli XCX (33). At the menswear show by Saint Laurent, the two singers demonstratively showed their reconciliation after rumors of a dispute had previously circulated. They posed for the cameras, smoked long, dark cigarettes, and sealed their harmony with an embrace.
Fashion-wise, the two also didn't lack attention: Madonna wore a long-sleeved mini dress in red lace, paired with heels in pink and black. Charli XCX also opted for red - her dress featured lace on the chest, along with black tights and pointed high heels.
The bone of contention
The speculation about a feud had been triggered by a line from Charli XCX's new single Rock Music. In it, she essentially says that the dancefloor is dead - which is why they're now making rock music. A jab that Madonna didn't want to let slide: After all, her dance-heavy new album Confessions II is being released on July 3.
Her response followed promptly on Instagram. With a snapshot - showing her posing in a skin-tight pink dress, fishnet tights, and leather boots - the singer wrote meaningfully: If your dancefloor feels dead, maybe you're playing the wrong music.
