Actress Julia Garner (32) and musician Mark Foster (42) have separated. A source confirmed this to US magazine People. The two had been married for more than six years.

The actress, known from the Netflix series Ozark, and the frontman of the band Foster the People first met in 2013 at the Sundance Film Festival. Initially, it remained just an encounter, but years later they reconnected. As Garner once told The Hollywood Reporter magazine, their love story began after reconnecting via Instagram. Foster had liked her posts, after which she followed him - shortly thereafter, he sent her a message.

Romantic marriage proposal in 2019

In 2019, the couple got engaged during a trip to Montana. Foster made Garner a very special proposal: He wrote a poem for her and read it to her before getting down on one knee. Later that same year, they were married in an intimate ceremony at New York City Hall.

Over the years, Garner and Foster repeatedly appeared together in public. After her first Emmy win for her role in Ozark in 2019, the actress thanked her husband in her acceptance speech, calling him the love of my life. At her 2023 Golden Globe win for Ozark as well, Garner directed loving words to Foster: I want to thank my team that has been with me for years, my husband Mark - I love you.

According to People, both had recently removed their joint posts on social media. Foster had, among other things, deleted older Instagram posts from the relationship.
