Summer Terenzi celebrated her 20th birthday on Tuesday. Despite their strained relationship, her father Marc Terenzi (47) publicly congratulated her on Instagram. "Happy birthday, Summer. I know there are a lot of things standing between us right now", the American singer said in a clip. "But I want you to know that I love you. No matter what you do, I will always stand behind you, because I am your father and you are my daughter." He finds it difficult to find the right words. "So I'm going to do the only thing I'm good at." He has been working on a song for a while. "It's my 'I'm sorry' to you." He left open when the song will be released.
Daughter called him a "narcissist"
His daughter, who is from his previous marriage to Sarah Connor (46), had shared a snippet from her song "Daddy Issues" on Sunday. "My father never wanted kids, he's always been a narcissist", she sings in English. In an interview with "Bild", Terenzi admitted: "Summer is completely right." The musician explained: "Until a year ago, I was an alcoholic and addicted to substances and therefore couldn't be a good father." He regrets that.
He loves his children and hopes for a second chance. In addition to Summer, he has a son Tyler (22) with Sarah Connor. Marc Terenzi and Sarah Connor separated in 2008 after over four years of marriage, and they have been divorced since 2010.
