Pietro Lombardi (34) and Sarah Engels (33) dedicate loving messages to their son Alessio on his eleventh birthday. The former "DSDS" winner wrote in his Instagram story: "11 years full of love, pride and unforgettable moments. My little boy has become a wonderful young man." Lombardi explained how much he loves him and how proud he is to be his father. "Happy birthday my big boy", he wished his son. He also shared a baby photo showing the two of them together - Alessio as an infant on his father's chest, who is looking at him with a beaming smile.
One day before the birthday, Lombardi showed himself in his story on a "Dad son date". Alongside a photo from a restaurant, he wrote that Alessio turns eleven on June 19. Everything is going "too fast" for him, he lamented. Lombardi is a father of three. His two younger sons Leano (3) and Amelio (1) are from his relationship with his ex-fiancée Laura Maria Rypa.
Sarah Engels congratulates her "greatest fighter"
Sarah Engels also congratulated Alessio in an Instagram story. She wished the "strongest boy and greatest fighter of my life" a happy birthday. "Exactly 11 years ago you gave me the most beautiful gift anyone could ever receive: You made me your mom", wrote this year's ESC candidate. Back then she was overwhelmed and didn't know how being a mother works. "And honestly? Sometimes I still don't know today", she added with a laughing emoji. But one thing was clear to her even back then: "I love you to the moon and back." She loves him so much that it sometimes hurts. For the singer, he will always remain her little one, she emphasized.
Engels also gave her son some words for his journey ahead. He will experience a lot and meet many people. But no matter what happens: Nothing can change the fact "that I love you and will always be by your side". The parents separated after five years
Pietro Lombardi and Sarah Engels met in 2011 on "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" and married in 2013. About a year after Alessio's birth, the couple announced their separation in October 2016, and the marriage was dissolved in 2019. In 2020, Lombardi made his relationship with Laura Maria Rypa public. Until summer 2025, they had a turbulent on-off relationship. Engels has been married to former soccer player Julian Engels since 2021. Together they have a four-year-old daughter named Solea.
