Micaela Schäfer (42) is in a relationship again. At the RTL summer party "Aussichtsreich" in Berlin, the model confirmed a new relationship on Wednesday evening. According to her, the two have been a couple for "about eight months". He also accompanied her to the event and, after a brief solo interview, joined her on the red carpet at her request. There, he graciously answered the "RTL" reporter's questions.
Meeting through a dating app
While his name was not mentioned, the two readily chatted about how they met. It happened via a dating app. "You can't find anyone in normal life anymore", Schäfer explained her search online. However, that wasn't easy either, as numerous users thought her profile was fake and reported it.
Her current boyfriend, however, was not among the doubters, and for a simple reason: He didn't really have any idea who he was dealing with. The man works in a completely different industry, which Schäfer finds pleasant. "I had the special circumstance that I hadn't had a television for 20 years, and so I knew she existed, but I hadn't seen anything, didn't know anything at all", he explained. Because of this, it was a "very beautiful way of getting to know each other" that "brought forth a certain primal trust", he gushed.
A partner who avoids the spotlight
What Schäfer particularly appreciates about her partner is his reserved nature. He has his own life, doesn't push himself in front of the cameras, and practically doesn't appear publicly. For the evening in Berlin, however, he made an exception and accompanied her to the party.
The two also laughingly tell how his appearance repeatedly causes confusion: "No, I'm not together with Robert Habeck!", she always clarifies.
Two breakups in the past ten years
Two breakups have become publicly known in the past ten years. From approximately 2015 to 2018, Micaela Schäfer was in a relationship with entrepreneur Felix Steiner. The relationship was severely strained by their participation in the TV show "Das Sommerhaus der Stars". Shortly after the show, the couple separated.
In 2019, she fell in love with Berlin restaurateur Adriano. They had already met several years earlier in his restaurant, but only became a couple later. The relationship lasted about five years. In spring 2024, the couple announced their separation. Despite the breakup, both wanted to remain friends.
