Jörg Pilawa (60) paid a visit to his partner Julia Klöckner (53) at her workplace: the German Bundestag. The television host took a seat in the visitors' gallery of the plenary hall on Wednesday while Bundestag President Klöckner led the session.
Visually, Pilawa adapted to the summer weather: He appeared in a light-colored blazer and white shirt, with his sunglasses tucked into his collar. As could be seen in images, the quiz master followed the debate attentively.
A Wink on X
ZDF journalist Andreas Kynast provided the fitting commentary by posting a video of the visit on platform X. With a view to the couple, he wrote: "Honey, you're welcome to visit me at work." The post was tagged with hashtags for Bundestag, Pilawa, and Klöckner.
It was not the moderator's first appearance in the house of representatives. As early as January 28, Pilawa had attended the memorial ceremony for the victims of National Socialism at the Reichstag building - also from the visitors' gallery.
Pilawa may have wanted to see his partner one more time before she travels to the USA on business. In New York, Klöckner is scheduled to have meetings on Thursday with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the President of the UN General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock, according to plans. "Subsequently, the Bundestag President will attend the preliminary round match between the German national team and Ecuador at the FIFA World Cup at the stadium in New Jersey", according to a statement.

In August 2025, the first reports about Julia Klöckner and the popular TV host Jörg Pilawa emerged. According to media reports, the two are said to have met at a festival in Klöckner's hometown of Guldental. Friends reportedly introduced them to each other. Both did not comment publicly on their relationship. When the first media reports appeared, they had their lawyer communicate that they wanted to protect their privacy.
At the beginning of October, their first official appearance as a couple followed. Together they attended the Ecumenical Service for German Unity Day at the Ludwigskirche in Saarbrücken. During the service, Klöckner and Pilawa sat together in the front row: the moderator directly next to Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Klöckner next to Elke Büdenbender, the wife of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
