For his next live project, Stefan Raab (59) has found a partner who made a living from speed for a long time: Ralf Schumacher (51). The former Formula 1 driver and the entertainer will compete together at the first Jetski Star WM, as RTL has announced. The show will air live on Saturday, August 29, at 8:15 PM on the Cologne-based network and on RTL+.

Raab leaves nothing to chance with this project, according to the announcement. That's why he specifically brought in a teammate for the jet ski who knows how to cross the finish line first. A duo that, according to the network, basically only knows full throttle.

The race takes place on the Duisburg regatta course

The competition will take place on the regatta course in Duisburg. There, eight celebrity pairs will compete in three disciplines. RTL promises an elaborate opening, fiercely contested duels and daring maneuvers on the water.

The competition for Raab and Schumacher is anything but harmless, according to the network. The starting field includes artist René Casselly and former gymnast Fabian Hambüchen as well as streamer Knossi and extreme athlete Joey Kelly, who can't miss any Raab event.

Let's Dance strongly represented

Athletes, social media personalities and TV celebrities are mixing in the same water. Other duos include Dagi Bee and Sophia Thiel, Gustav Schäfer and Joel Mattli, Renata and Valentin Lusin, EMMVEE and Stefano Zarrella as well as Ann-Kathrin Bendixen and Alexander Kumptner.

With the Let's Dance professionals Renata and Valentin Lusin, a married couple will compete together. Gustav Schäfer and Joel Mattli were contestants on the RTL dance show last season and have been thrilling fans with their bromance ever since.

Laura Wontorra will host the jet ski event. Frank Buschi Buschmann will take on the role of commentator, Jana Wosnitza will be on duty as field reporter, and Mitja Lafere will report from the pit area.
