Helene Fischer (41) concluded her stadium tour on Friday evening (July 17) at Munich's Allianz Arena. In front of around 71,000 spectators, there was a performance that hardly anyone in the audience expected: Florian Silbereisen (44) suddenly stood next to her on stage.
The way he got there was unusual. To ensure no one discovered him in advance, Silbereisen was hidden in a transport crate according to Bild and rolled onto the stage inside it. Shortly after 9 p.m., he emerged from his hiding place.
Silbereisen: "I've never come on stage in such an unusual way"
The schlager singer himself described the action to the tabloid as follows: "I've never come on stage in such an unusual way as for this surprise appearance. Helene requested this surprise performance to conclude her magnificent stadium tour."
Together, the two sang their duet "Schau mal herein" - for the first and only time during the 15 concerts of this tour.
A Hint on Instagram
However, Silbereisen didn't keep his secret completely tight. He posted a selfie on Instagram in advance showing him in front of the still-empty stands of the Allianz Arena. He wrote: "Guess where I am!?" His followers knew immediately: "Let me guess. Having a cup of coffee with Helene in Munich," one commented. Another speculated: "Looks like a surprise appearance."
The duet between the two isn't new. The track climbed to number 20 on the German singles charts in February of last year. Fischer and Silbereisen had already presented the song together live in May. And it was well received in Munich too: "Nice that you were there! A world-class performance," was one fan's verdict.
The two were a couple from 2008 to 2018, and have continued to perform together regularly since then.
Thunderstorm Warning Shortly Before the Performance
The weather almost threw a wrench in the finale's plans. Around 7 p.m., the German Weather Service issued an official warning for severe thunderstorms in the Munich city area, as reported by Münchner Merkur. Storm gusts of around 80 kilometers per hour, heavy rain with about 20 liters per square meter in a short time, and hail were forecast.
The sky darkened over Fröttmaning, and initial thunder rumbles could be heard. Around 9 p.m., the DWD then lifted its warning again, and according to the Munich daily newspaper, the concert was already underway by then.
