Eric Stehfest (37) is in a committed relationship again. The former "GZSZ" actor made his new relationship public via Instagram. One photo shows him with his partner, who goes by Sarah Scheil on her account. In the photo, the couple is sitting with their backs to the camera on the beach, sharing a kiss.
In a message, Stehfest writes: "Sometimes you find great love only after the worst storm, when faith in true love has almost faded." Before they met, he thought he would go through life alone and focus on his children. With ex-partner Edith Stehfest (30), he has son Aaron Amadeus and daughter Aria Litera.
When his new partner came into his life, everything changed. "After all the darkness and painful years full of love deprivation, she gave me back my faith", he explains. By that, he means the faith that eternal love and loyalty exist.
"The happiest man in the world"
Only now does he understand how it feels to receive as much love as one gives. "When I look in the mirror now, I finally see again the happy, proud Eric that I always wanted to be", writes the former jungle camper. "We both went through hell and now we know why. So we could meet on the other side."
About the beginning of their love, Stehfest shares: "It started with a simple question. Are you sure? And a simple answer sealed our connection. I promise you, I'm sure." Now Stehfest is "the happiest man in the world, because I'm finally being loved the way I deserve." He would go through all the difficult times again if he knew she was waiting for him.
Getting-to-know-you phase and marriage failed
Just a few months ago, Eric Stehfest was rumored to be romantically involved with Franziska Temme (31). The two had met on the reality show "Promis unter Palmen". At the end of January, Stehfest sparked speculation with an apparent couple post on Instagram. "Who would have thought what you can find under palm trees", he wrote at the time in a now-deleted post. In April, he clarified on the platform that the two were going their separate ways and their connection never went beyond a getting-to-know-you phase.
The rumors about Stehfest and Temme had emerged just a few months after the separation of Eric and Edith Stehfest. In September 2025, they announced the end of their marriage after ten years together. At the time, Eric Stehfest emphasized that they wanted to continue acting as a team for their children. But both have repeatedly lashed out at each other publicly. The ex-couple continues to fight over custody.
