Collien Fernandes (44) has reached out to her followers with surprising personal news. "I got a baby...", the actress and host wrote alongside a new Instagram video. However, in her arms she was holding not an infant, but a small black ball of fur.

"I also know the child's parents"

In the clip, the puppy cuddles up to its new owner and wags its tail joyfully. Fellow actresses Wolke Hegenbarth and Gesine Cukrowski reacted enthusiastically to the news, and many users pointed out the important function of a dog as a "comforter of the soul". However, some also expressed criticism and wanted to know whether the dog came from a breeder or from an animal shelter. Fernandes emphasized with regard to her adopted home: "There is quite a lot of illegal puppy trading in Mallorca. Was really shocked. But here everything is fine and I also know the child's parents."

Last week, the 44-year-old had attended the Seriencamp Festival in Cologne, where the ZDF series "Back for More" celebrated its premiere. Fernandes can be seen in it in her former role as a Viva host. It was only the second public appearance since the serious public allegations against her ex-husband Christian Ulmen (50) following the German Film Award at the end of May.

In March, Fernandes had accused the comedian, with whom she has a daughter, in a "Spiegel" interview of creating fake online profiles and distributing adult content intended to give the impression of depicting herself. Ulmen rejected the allegations through his lawyer and has not publicly commented on them so far. The presumption of innocence applies to Ulmen. The allegations are also occupying the justice system. The Potsdam Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation against Ulmen. As a spokesperson stated, "after the initial examination of the information provided by the complainant, an initial suspicion was established regarding the accusation of bodily harm in the context of domestic violence".
