Aaron Tveit (42) and his wife Ericka Yang (44) are expecting their second child. The couple announced the pregnancy last Monday on Instagram. The post features a photo series from the summer, with the caption explaining they had spent the most beautiful summer yet with their little one - and with their even littler family member on the way.
The first image in the series shows the parents with their daughter in their arms, both placing a hand on Yang's baby bump. Additional photos show Tveit with the little girl at the dining table, Yang with their daughter in a hotel hallway, and the family at the beach. Their daughter was born in November 2024.
First Meeting at the Tony Awards
The two first met back in 2009 during rehearsals for the Tony Awards, as they told "Vogue". After a few dates, they lost touch initially, as neither was interested in a serious relationship at the time.
A decade later, work brought them back together. They performed together on Broadway in "Moulin Rouge!", with Tveit in the lead role of Christian and Yang as part of the ensemble. First rumors of a relationship surfaced according to "People" in July 2019, when the two were photographed cuddling close at the show's premiere party.
The relationship became official in May 2021, when Tveit wished his partner a happy birthday on Instagram. They made their first joint red carpet appearance in September 2021 at the Tony Awards. There, Tveit won the award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his role in "Moulin Rouge!".
Wedding Six Months After Birth
The proposal followed in September 2023, which the couple later described as private and romantic. It took place at home. In July 2024, the couple announced they were expecting a child, and in November their daughter was born. "We couldn't be happier that she's finally here," Tveit shared in December 2024 in a statement.
They got married half a year later, in June 2025 in New York. Planning the wedding was all about simplicity, Yang told "Vogue". The celebration should take place near their home, with good food, good music, and their favorite people. Her husband summed up the day this way: "It felt very New York."
