Georgina Rodríguez (32) is sending a clear message against body shaming with a personal statement. The fiancée of soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo (41) is responding to comments about her body and explaining why she no longer wants to be defined by beauty standards.
The 32-year-old published several photos on Instagram on Tuesday, including shots in a bikini. The occasion was discussions about her appearance after pictures of her on a boat triggered numerous comments about her body.
"My body will change, like every woman's body", Rodríguez wrote in her post. And that is something positive for her: "I hope it changes for many more years, because that means I'm still alive."

The message to her children - especially to her daughters - is particularly important to her. Rodríguez is the mother of six children, including three girls.
"If there's one thing I want to teach them - together with Cris, of whom I'm very proud as a father and as a man - it's that a person's worth should never depend on their appearance or the opinion of strangers", she explained.
The constant evaluation of her body has nevertheless been on her mind lately. Rodríguez shared that she talked to Cristiano Ronaldo about her concern that she would be labeled as "fat" because of her appearance - especially since her image is part of her work.
The soccer star's response reminded her of what really matters. According to Rodríguez, Ronaldo told her: "You don't live off your appearance. You live off who you are."
"Where is the standard?"
For Rodríguez, the discussion about her body is nothing new. "The funny thing is, this happens every summer. Every year my body becomes a topic again", she wrote.
In doing so, she asks herself a fundamental question: "Where is the standard? Who decides what the 'right' body is? Do we really still think that happiness has a size?"
She doesn't see her training as a fight against her body, but as part of her lifestyle. Sports give her joy and provide her with energy, discipline and well-being. "It was never a fight to lose weight. It was always a way to take care of myself", she wrote.

Rodríguez emphasized in conclusion that she accepts her body in all phases: "I love my curves. I love the freedom to live in the body I choose."
Her body has enabled her to have children, hug people, overcome setbacks and keep going. That's why it deserves respect, love and gratitude. And that's coming again from her partner in the comments section: Cristiano Ronaldo commented in Spanish with the words "My love" and a heart emoji.
Next weekend, the couple is set to tie the knot on the Portuguese island of Madeira after around nine years together. The soccer star and the model got engaged in 2025. Ronaldo and Rodríguez have two children together, and Ronaldo's oldest son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. as well as twins Eva and Mateo are also part of the family.
