Christian Polanc (48) met his girlfriend Laura in Turkey - and that's exactly where he got down on one knee: The professional dancer, who worked for the RTL format "Let's Dance" until 2023, is engaged. Polanc shared the happy news on his official Instagram account with his fans.

Alongside a black-and-white photo collage of the couple, he wrote: "A yes for today, a yes for tomorrow, and a yes for the rest of our lives. Sometimes you find a person in life where everything suddenly feels right, everything feels easy, and everything feels complete." They want to walk their future path together "in good times and in stormy times" and "hand in hand". The engagement took place on June 12 "in Sarigerme (Turkey), our special place". So the couple kept the joyful news to themselves for about a week.

The comment section of the post is filled with numerous celebrity congratulations, including of course from the extensive "Let's Dance" family. Judge Motsi Mabuse (45) left a "Congratulations" along with three hearts, and host Victoria Swarovski (32) and dancer Christina Hänni (36) also sent their congratulations.

A vacation romance became the love of a lifetime

Polanc made his new relationship public on Instagram in February of last year. "So grateful and happy to have found my love! I look forward to every moment with you and our shared dance of life... In our own rhythm", he wrote at the time alongside a photo of himself and his partner. The two met in October 2024 during a vacation in Turkey. "There were sparks right away", he revealed in a "Gala" interview.

So Christian Polanc fell in love and got engaged in Turkey. Whether the wedding will also take place there remains to be seen.
