Dave Grohl (57) and Ilan Rubin (37) from the Foo Fighters paid a visit to the Hofbräuhaus before their concert in Munich. The frontman and the drummer came with friends and family, as the restaurant revealed on Instagram. We were delighted to welcome absolute music legends to our beer hall, the operators rejoiced and published a photo as proof. It shows Grohl in a black jacket, dark shirt and wearing glasses in the restaurant.

Almost three hours at the Allianz Arena

The Foo Fighters performed on Wednesday evening at Munich's Allianz Arena. According to media reports, Dave Grohl and company were on stage at the stadium for around three hours and brought hits like All My Life, Best of You or Everlong. The rockers also performed songs from their current album Your Favorite Toy. The twelfth studio work was only released in April and marked the first LP with Ilan Rubin on drums.

Ilan Rubin switched from Nine Inch Nails to the Foo Fighters in 2025, while Josh Freese took the reverse path and returned to Trent Reznor's band. Freese had joined the Foo Fighters as the successor to Taylor Hawkins, who died in 2022. In 2025, he made it public that his time with the band had ended.

The Foo Fighters will play in Berlin on July 1

On their Take Cover Tour, the Foo Fighters will come to Berlin's Olympic Stadium for a second German concert on July 1. Tickets are still available. The groups Idles and Fat Dog are announced as support acts. Inhaler and Otoboke Beaver had opened the show in Munich. After further shows in Europe, the rock band will also travel to North and South America as well as to Australia and New Zealand. In January 2027, they will finally come to India for the first time for two shows.
