After a good ten years of relationship, David Schwimmer (59) and Zoe Buckman (40) had separated. The star from the popular sitcom "Friends" and the artist divorced not long after a marital separation in 2017. Buckman now wants to marry again. She has gotten engaged to her new partner, a surgeon.
On Instagram, the artist shares photos of the proposal. "During a heat wave in the British countryside, my boyfriend became my fiancé", Buckman gushes about the pictures. The shots show the surgeon, among other things, on one knee in front of the 40-year-old, who is kissing him tenderly. "Just meeting him was the answer to my prayers - now I don't even know what to do with all this gratitude! [...] Thank you, Justin Saliman, for choosing me." She loves her fiancé more than anything. Buckman also knows that her late mother has found peace and is happy because she somehow knows that her daughter has found her fiancé.
David Schwimmer and Zoe Buckman have a daughter
Schwimmer and Buckman had met in London, according to media reports, while he was directing the 2007 comedy "Run, Fatboy, Run". Shortly after, the two got together and finally tied the knot in the summer of 2010. The following year, their daughter was born.
But the relationship fell apart. In April 2017, the two announced a marital separation. "With great love, respect and friendship, we have decided to go our separate ways for some time while we decide on the future of our relationship", the couple explained at the time in a statement to "Us Weekly" magazine. Priority now lay primarily with the well-being of their daughter.
That same year, the two divorced. They reportedly still maintain a good relationship to this day. It is not confirmed whether Schwimmer, whose former partners include "Torn" singer Natalie Imbruglia (51), is currently in a committed relationship. According to reports, he was at least spotted multiple times last year with a significantly younger University of California (UCLA) medical school graduate - even holding hands.
