Jamie Foxx (58) appeared at the BET Awards on Sunday - but on the red carpet, it was his daughter who drew all the attention. Anelise Bishop (16) posed alongside her father at the awards ceremony for African American artists and opted for a striking look.
The 16-year-old wore her hair in a voluminous afro, paired with dark sunglasses that largely concealed her face. With her expansive mane and black platform boots, she even towered over her 5'9" father. Anelise combined the footwear with a tuxedo top with a bow tie and a white shirt that casually hung out of her very wide black pants. Foxx also went with black and walked the red carpet in a high-necked shirt without a tie.
Jamie Foxx and daughter Anelise together on stage
Jamie Foxx and daughter Anelise appeared together not only on the red carpet at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, but later also on the BET Awards stage. Together with singer Kehlani (31), they performed her hit "Folded". Foxx sat at the piano while his daughter played guitar.
The actor and musician has raved about his youngest daughter's musical abilities on multiple occasions. Anelise already appeared on stage with him in his Netflix special "What Had Happened Was...". In it, Foxx also shared what a special role her guitar playing played during his serious health crisis: When he was in a coma after his stroke, Anelise snuck into his hospital room and played for him. As a result, his vital signs improved, he said.
Anelise Bishop is from Jamie Foxx's relationship with Kristin Grannis. From an earlier partnership with Connie Kline, the actor and musician, whose real name is Eric Bishop, also has daughter Corinne Foxx (32). Unlike her half-sister Anelise, she primarily works in front of the camera: Corinne is also an actress and appeared alongside her father on his game show "Beat Shazam".
