- Main Course: Rôti Mariné - Sauerbraten of French beef, with sweet potato praline on pumpernickel with French red cabbage salad
- Dessert: Crème Cologne - Crème brûlée with and from Kölsch beer with strawberry ice cream
The VOX cooking show "Das perfekte Dinner"
"Das perfekte Dinner" premiered in its current form on March 6, 2006 on VOX. The show also exists in other countries, such as in Great Britain under the title "Come Dine With Me" and in France as "Un Dîner Presque Parfait."
Five amateur cooks from one city or region face the cooking challenge and want to score points with the other contestants with their menu. In each episode, one of them becomes the host, and at the end, the guests rate the evening and award points from 0 to 10. Whoever has the highest score at the end of the week takes home the winner's prize.
Besides the cooks, narrator Daniel Werner, who has been there from the beginning, is the heart of the show, which was honored as the best cooking show at the German Television Awards in 2007. With his humorous and sometimes subtly sarcastic remarks from off-screen, he carries the show.
