TV host Andrea Kiewel (61) shared moving words on "ZDF-Fernsehgarten" with the audience about the attack on the Christopher Street Day in Berlin. Shortly after the show began on Sunday, she explained: Before this show really gets started - she had already told the on-site viewers - it was a major, major concern to them "that we, the big 'Fernsehgarten' family, all colleagues and of course I and my guests today are in our thoughts and with our whole hearts with those affected by the CSD events last night in Berlin." The 61-year-old added: "We love you!"
Previously, Andrea Kiewel had already briefly greeted the guests of the current show, which was themed "Family Battle". In attendance were Frauke Ludowig and daughter Nele, Patricia Kelly and son Iggi, as well as Stefanie Hertel and daughter Johanna. Just like the audience, the celebrities gave much applause for Kiewel's moving message.
Merz to Attend Memorial Service
Chancellor Friedrich Merz (70) will attend a memorial service for the victims and their relatives at St. Mary's Church at Alexanderplatz in the afternoon following the attack on the Christopher Street Day, according to "Bild" newspaper.
On Saturday evening, a vehicle drove into a crowd of people at the event. One woman died, and many other people were injured. Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (56) is calling it an Islamist attack.
Numerous stars have already spoken out on social media. Bill Kaulitz (36), for example, writes in an Instagram story that he is thinking of the people at the CSD - "the victims, friends and relatives". Ruth Moschner (50) says in an Instagram post, among other things: "Love is always right! Our tears are our strength. They wash away the hate. I wish everyone much strength. #berlin #csd #solidarity".
