Charli xcx (33) is getting her fans excited for her new studio album Music, Fashion, Film with a special promotion. Even before the record's release on July 24, the British pop musician is inviting fans to exclusive album listening sessions in 25 cities worldwide.
The events will take place from July 9 to 11 in independent movie theaters. In addition to numerous cities in North America, several European capitals are also part of the program - including London, Manchester, Madrid, Milan, Brussels, Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, and Berlin. Events are also planned in São Paulo, Mexico City, Tokyo, as well as Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland.
Fans can register for the respective events through the singer's official website. All information about the individual dates can also be found there.
New Album Coming July 24
Charli xcx had surprisingly announced her now seventh studio album in early June on Instagram. The cover shows a black-and-white photo of John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese - representing the three concepts of the album title: music, fashion, and film.
"My new album Music, Fashion, Film is coming out on July 24. Eleven songs, 30 minutes and five seconds," Charli xcx wrote in her post. She already released the songs Rock Music, Wink Wink, and SS26 in advance. The album title comes from a lyric in the most recently released track. In it, she sings: "Nothing's gonna save us, not music, fashion or film."
Arena Tour Starting in September
In addition to the listening sessions, Charli xcx has also announced a North American tour. The concert series begins on September 11 in Philadelphia and includes twelve shows, among them several arena shows. Plans include two concerts each at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Electronic artist Underscores will accompany the tour as the support act.
