Heidi Klum's (53) husband Tom Kaulitz (36) has apparently convinced many soccer fans of himself as a "fan expert" for MagentaTV at the World Cup. Although the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA runs until July 19, his internship has already ended. He was ceremoniously bid farewell in front of the cameras by host Johannes B. Kerner (61) and coaching legend Jürgen Klopp (59). Deutsche Telekom's TV and streaming platform shares the moment once again on Instagram.

"We've also prepared a certificate for you", says Kerner, who hands the Tokio Hotel musician a certificate and reads it aloud: "You have successfully completed your internship at MagentaTV and enriched our team with dedication, team spirit and good humor. Whether interviews, reporter segments or live commentary - you mastered every task confidently and often found the right words more than some coaches after the game. All the best for your path in sports broadcasting."

He hopes that the certificate will hang "at least next to all the gold and platinum records", Kerner jokes. "At least, definitely", assures the cheerful-looking Kaulitz and explains: "I was very happy, it was a lot of fun." He also said that he has "really taken his two TV colleagues to heart".

"Would Have Liked to See More with Tom"

Many soccer fans agree in the comments on the Instagram post that they want the famous intern back. And there's also a heart-eyes emoji from his wife Heidi. "Too bad! Would have liked to see more with Tom. He did a great job", one user comments. Another agrees: "We want Tooooom until the final!" Comments also include that Kaulitz is "so likeable at the microphone", or that "a promotion" would be more appropriate than ending the internship.

MagentaTV has the rights to broadcast live all 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup in Germany. Alternatively, fans can also watch what are probably the most important matches for them live on public television without a paid subscription. ARD and ZDF are broadcasting a total of 60 games live, including the German national team's group stage matches so far, the third preliminary round match on June 25, 2026 against Ecuador and all other matches involving Germany, as well as the final regardless.
