One year after the death of Hulk Hogan, his daughter Brooke Hogan (38) has addressed her father with a detailed message. On Thursday, one day before the wrestler's first anniversary, she posted on Instagram several old photos showing father and daughter together.

"Maybe ... in another life ... in a parallel universe ... in another dimension ... we're together right now," the 38-year-old wrote alongside the images. She imagines the two of them watching sunsets and laughing until they cry, her father tapping his hand against her leg to the beat of a Mother's Finest song from the passenger seat, and the two of them going out for sushi.

"I'm right behind you, Daddy"

In this vision, no one comes between them, Brooke Hogan continued. "You're just yourself. No pain, no worries, no one chasing you, bothering you or pulling at you. It's just us, and we're enjoying every moment." She had told him again and again that they had spent many lives together, that they had found each other in this one, and that she would find him again in the next. Next time it would be even better.

For the rest of her life, the 38-year-old said, she would be accompanied by the feeling of having to live "so long" without her father. Her post ends with the lines: "Hopefully on your side it's only seconds until we're together again. I'm right behind you, Daddy."

Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, died on July 24, 2025 at the age of 71 in Clearwater, Florida. The Forensic Science Center of Pinellas County told the US outlet Page Six a week later that an acute myocardial infarction, or heart attack, had led to his death.

The wrestling star was laid to rest on August 5, 2025 at a private memorial service at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Clearwater. His daughter stayed away from the ceremony. Her father had hated the morbidity of funerals and didn't want one, she explained at the time on Instagram. Instead, she said goodbye with her husband Steven Oleksy and their twins Oliver and Molly at the beach.

Relationship with father was strained recently

A few days after his death, Brooke Hogan had spoken out publicly for the first time. Her father's blood flowed through her veins, his eyes shone through her children, she wrote at the time on Instagram. Their connection had never been broken, not even in his final moments. When he left the earth, it felt as if a part of her spirit had gone with him. She had felt it even before the news reached her.

In the years before his death, father and daughter had grown apart. She also addressed this in the post: "All I ever wanted from my father was love, honesty, and a deep connection." For a few special years she had that, with memories that would last a lifetime. Her world had changed forever, yet at the same time she was grateful for her husband, her two children, and for the sympathy from fans and friends.

Hogan began his career in the 1970s and is considered a pioneer of worldwide wrestling popularity. He also appeared as an actor, including in the series Thunder in Paradise and alongside Sylvester Stallone in Rocky III.
