Arnold Schwarzenegger (78) made a rare public appearance with his partner Heather Milligan (51). On Tuesday, the two appeared together in Vienna to support the actor's "Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative". The couple posed alongside former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris (61), Austrian Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen (82), and Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker (66) at the Austrian World Summit.

According to the organizers, the main goal of the annual conference is to provide a platform for solutions and ideas, as well as to connect people, companies, and pioneers in climate protection.

How Schwarzenegger met his partner

Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is from Austria, and Heather Milligan met in 2012 when Schwarzenegger needed physical therapy after shoulder surgery. Reportedly, his "Escape Plan" co-star Sylvester Stallone (79) recommended that he reach out to Milligan.

Schwarzenegger recalled according to "People" magazine: "So I went to her, and after my therapy was finished and I had completed filming the movie, I called her again and invited her to lunch to thank her. And then one thing led to another." The two keep their relationship largely out of the public eye.

Kamala Harris celebrated in Austria

At the Austrian World Summit in the Hofburg, Schwarzenegger had once again gathered many prominent figures under the motto "We are unstoppable - Terminate pollution" ("We are unstoppable - End pollution"). Among others, Kamala Harris was celebrated on stage.

On Instagram, Schwarzenegger thanked all participants afterwards: "To all the climate protection heroes who were there: Thank you. Without our community, we wouldn't have achieved this. Because change doesn't happen through a single big leap. It emerges through small steps that we take together. See you next year. On June 8, 2027."
