Anne Wünsche (34) suffers from adenomyosis, according to her own statements. That's why she plans to have her uterus removed. The 34-year-old speaks with the "Bild" newspaper about her sometimes severe symptoms.

Wünsche, who once became famous primarily through the RTLzwei series "Berlin - Tag & Nacht", had experienced "severe pain at the cervix" during intimate relations, she reveals. "On top of that came the extreme bleeding. At some point I just thought: This can't be normal."

Anne Wünsche has decided "to have her uterus removed"

During a recent visit to Disneyland in Paris, Wünsche got such a heavy period "that I could barely do anything anymore". In the evening, she considered going to a hospital. This experience became a kind of turning point for the influencer. "I decided to first take the pill continuously for a year, but in the long term to have my uterus removed", Wünsche reveals.

The fact that the mother of three won't be able to have children afterward doesn't bother her. She plans the operation for fall or winter. The report doesn't make it entirely clear whether she means this year or next. Before that, Wünsche also needs to find a doctor she trusts and who gives her a good feeling.

The 34-year-old isn't really afraid of the procedure itself. "To be honest, I'm looking forward to it", she says. She's only worried that something could become infected, something might not heal properly, or the pain could still be there even after the procedure.

How does adenomyosis manifest itself?

According to the Endometriosis Association Germany, adenomyosis is a chronic condition that can lead to "severe pain, bleeding disorders, and sometimes unfulfilled desire to have children", among other things. With this condition, tissue similar to the uterine lining grows into the muscular layer of the uterine wall. Depending on the affected person, symptoms can be more or less pronounced. The association describes removal of the uterus in severe cases as a "last resort".
