It's been almost a year since she said goodbye to her farm in Namibia - but for Anna Heiser (36), that chapter is not yet closed. In an emotional Instagram video, the former 'Bauer sucht Frau' candidate speaks openly about how much she misses her former home. She even sheds tears.
'I dream a lot about the farm,' the 36-year-old says, visibly moved. 'It simply still hurts and it's incredibly sad.' She and her husband Gerald Heiser have started over in her homeland of Poland with their two children. Nevertheless, memories of life in Namibia keep coming back.
'But with all this emotional chaos, I keep thinking that you can miss something without wanting it back,' Heiser continues. In line with this, she wrote alongside her emotional video: 'They say 'time heals all wounds,' but that's not true. With time you simply learn to live with the wounds.'
A farewell with lasting effects
The Heisers parted with their farm in 2025 with heavy hearts after, among other things, economic problems ended their dream of life in Namibia. Even back then, Anna described multiple times how difficult the farewell was for her. Among other things, another trip to Namibia helped her 'make peace,' she wrote in April on Instagram. 'We will certainly have to process the last two years for a long time to come. But we're no longer afraid to face the feelings and memories. And who knows, maybe we can simply enjoy the next trip to Namibia.'
Anna and Gerald Heiser met in 2017 on the RTL matchmaking show 'Bauer sucht Frau'. Anna subsequently moved to Gerald in Namibia, where he ran the farm. On July 29, 2018, they married in front of 120 guests in Anna's homeland of Poland. Host Inka Bause was also in attendance. Afterwards, the couple celebrated another wedding party on their farm in Namibia. Son Leon was born in 2021, daughter Alina in 2022.
On Instagram, Gerald Heiser's wife recently shared a series of photos from the church wedding in Poland for their eighth wedding anniversary. Among the images are shots from a photo shoot in a meadow, the radiant bride and groom at the altar, and the couple in their wedding car. 'Eight years. What God has joined together, let no one separate,' she simply wrote.
