Jungle camp star Hubert Fella (58) had entered a rehab clinic in Bad Kissingen, Bavaria, after a five-hour head surgery in early June. Now he can deliver a positive message to his fans: "Hello my dear ones, I wish you a nice start to the week, I'm allowed to go home tomorrow Tuesday and I'm as excited as a little child to finally come home after five weeks", the reality star reported on Monday in an Instagram post. He has completed two weeks in the hospital in Bad Neustadt and three weeks of rehabilitation in Bad Kissingen.
In the accompanying video, his joy about returning home is also evident. "I'm finally allowed to go home tomorrow", he explains to the camera. If everything goes well, "everything will be fine again by the end of August and I'm looking forward to that", the 58-year-old looks ahead.
Five-Hour Surgery
The "Hot oder Schrott" star had undergone surgery for a cerebral vein thrombosis. The doctor at Rhön Clinic Bad Neustadt successfully removed the blood clot and inserted titanium plates at the back of his head. About the procedure, Fella said in an Instagram video: "The surgery lasted five hours and he had to do a lot on the back of my head."
On May 20, Hubert Fella was admitted to the clinic after suffering from severe dizzy spells. Initially, a stroke or heart attack was suspected, but neither was confirmed. Only an MRI examination revealed the thrombosis in his head.
In early June, he gave his followers a tour of his room at the rehab clinic. In the caption, this year's jungle camp contestant raved: "It's beautiful here. The food is super delicious." He would have to stay at the Bavaria Clinic for "a few days": "My plan is set for three weeks."
