It's a compliment that Laura Wontorra (37) is likely to have enjoyed. "GNTM" boss Heidi Klum (53) gushed about how much she enjoys watching the sports-focused host. Wontorra is currently covering the 2026 FIFA World Cup for MagentaTV.

Laura Wontorra appears in various moments in posts and stories on her Instagram profile as part of the World Cup coverage. She shares impressions from the makeup room, shows photos from the studio, or presents herself at the stadium with her nearly 600,000 followers. On a post that also contains several shots with Mats Hummels (37) and Thomas Müller (36), Klum praised the host's performance. "You're doing a great job. I enjoy watching you", the model wrote.

Why Klum is tuning in to MagentaTV might partly be due to her husband, though. The Tokio Hotel musician Tom Kaulitz (36), whom she has been married to since 2019, is working for Telekom during the World Cup as a "fan expert". Additionally, the company's subscription service has a special advantage: The Deutsche Telekom television and streaming platform holds the rights to broadcast all 104 matches live. ARD and ZDF broadcast without a paid subscription, but only 60 games are available to watch live through the public broadcasters.

How World Cup TV and streaming coverage continues

This might be sufficient for German soccer fans, however, as the free-TV package includes especially games with greater relevance for the domestic audience. The opening game was already available on ZDF, with the national team's first group game on ARD. The remaining group stage matches featuring Germany will also be shown, as well as knockout round games if they advance. The final will be broadcast on ZDF regardless of the performance of national team coach Julian Nagelsmann's (38) squad.

Germany faces Ivory Coast in their second group game on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Kickoff is at 10:00 PM German time. ZDF will broadcast the match. ARD will then broadcast Germany versus Ecuador on Thursday, June 25, 2026. That match also starts at 10:00 PM German time. The games will also be available through the respective public broadcasters' online platforms.
