Duchess Meghan (44) appeared as a guest judge on the TV show "MasterChef Australia". During the broadcast, there was a surprising video call from Meghan's husband Prince Harry (41), as seen on Instagram. The 44-year-old also revealed how the couple's tastes differ.
The former "Suits" actress was presented as a guest star in the episode that has now aired. Meghan appeared on the show alongside the "MasterChef Australia" judges, Poh Ling Yeow (52), Sofia Levin (36), and Jean-Christophe Novelli (65).
Surprising call from Harry
While she was judging the contestants' dishes, Harry called in. Meghan explained to her husband on the phone that they were having a great time, before adding that she and her co-stars on the show wished Harry could be there too.
The Duchess also mentioned on the show, while tasting a dish, that she loves spicy food, but joked that it would be too extreme for Harry. He enjoys eating lots of "meat, potatoes, and cream sauce", while she herself prefers "fish, grilled meat, and lots of citrus fruits", she reportedly revealed during her TV appearance according to "The Sun". Their two children - Prince Archie (7) and Princess Lilibet (5) - enjoy eating Brussels sprouts, she said according to the "Daily Mail".
TV show with Meghan was filmed in April
The filming for her guest appearance took place during the Sussexes' trip to Australia in April. It was the first time since their major royal tour in 2018 that the couple had been in Australia together. In 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped back as working royals.
The guest appearance on the cooking competition show fits seamlessly into Meghan's growing lifestyle portfolio. In 2025, she was present with her Netflix series "With Love, Meghan", in which cooking also plays a major role. She has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy for the show. She also runs her lifestyle brand "As Ever", which launched in spring 2025 with products like jam.
