Pete Davidson (32) and Elsie Hewitt (30) have settled how they will care for their daughter going forward, approximately two months after their breakup. Last Friday, a source confirmed to the US magazine "People" that the former couple has reached a joint agreement regarding their child. "Page Six" also reported on the ex-partners' agreement.
The comedian and the model issued a joint statement through their representatives. "We are co-parenting our daughter, with her well-being remaining our top priority", it reads. Both sides are firmly committed to working together to ensure the child receives love from both of them.
The daughter bears her grandfather's name
Scottie Rose was born in December 2025. Her first name is a tribute to Davidson's late father Scott Matthew Davidson, a New York City firefighter who lost his life during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. At the time, the future "Saturday Night Live" star was seven years old.
The two only publicly announced the birth about a week later on Instagram. Hewitt wrote that this was her best work yet, that she was overflowing with love, gratitude, and disbelief. Davidson added briefly: "Wu tang forever." They covered their daughter's face with a white heart emoji in all the pictures.
Davidson and Hewitt got together in March 2025. Already in April 2026, "People" reported that the couple was working on their relationship issues after the birth. In May, the magazine then reported on their separation five months after Scottie's birth.
How fatherhood has changed Pete Davidson
Even before the breakup, Davidson told "People" in March about his new daily life: fatherhood is exhausting, fulfilling, and cute all at once, and he's very fortunate because Hewitt is a fantastic mother. His protective instinct has noticeably changed. He hadn't understood this before the birth of his little daughter. "You're just ready to fight anyone."
He reportedly spent Father's Day in June with Scottie and his mother Amy Waters Davidson at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Hewitt, meanwhile, recently shared pictures from her daughter's first swimming class and celebrated her seventh month in mid-July with a picnic in the park.
