Will Oasis actually return to the stage next year for a large-scale tour? There are reportedly new hints that the rumors could come true. Apparently, the band is planning twelve shows in Manchester and a return to Knebworth.

The newspaper "Manchester Evening News" reported on the alleged concert series in the hometown of Oasis. The band around brothers Liam (53) and Noel Gallagher (59) was founded in Manchester in the early 1990s. Now the group is reportedly planning to use Etihad Stadium, the home of Manchester City, for their performances.

According to the report, several sources from the club's circle are said to have revealed that twelve Oasis concerts are planned at the stadium. If the residency shows are confirmed, tickets are expected to go on sale this summer. The performances could take place in May or June, it is further reported.

The status of an Oasis return to Knebworth

"This is simply huge for Manchester and for the local economy", a source explained to "Manchester Evening News". There is also continued speculation about a return to Knebworth. After Liam and Noel Gallagher reconciled following 16 years of silence and completed a triumphant stadium tour last year, there were already previous signs of the possible major event in 2027.

In April, new information from a ticket vendor really got the rumor mill churning: The platform Premier Events, which already sold tickets for the reunion tour, had published on its website a hint about a show in Knebworth. Under the title "OASIS LIVE '27 COMING SOON...", the site prepared fans for the allegedly upcoming presale.

A performance in Knebworth in 2027 would tie in almost exactly with the 30th anniversary of the legendary 1996 concerts, where 250,000 people celebrated the band over a single weekend. After the sold-out stadium tour last year eliminated all doubts about the permanence of the reconciliation, Liam Gallagher already gave a clear hint about the future at a concert at London's Wembley Stadium in the fall. Before the final song, he thanked the fans for their loyalty and said goodbye with the words that they would see each other again next year.
