Special guests at the first edition of the 'Mallorca, Terra d'honor' Awards: Hollywood star Michael Douglas (81), who was honored at the ceremony, arrived with his daughter Carys Zeta Douglas (23).
The 23-year-old knows the Balearic island as well as her parents do. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' (56) family traditionally spends their summers in Mallorca. The actor has owned a villa there since 1990.
According to 'Hola!', the 'Mallorca, Terra d'honor' award honors personalities who have shown particular commitment to the island. The prizes were therefore presented at a symbolic location: the Costa Nord Cultural Center, which Michael Douglas himself founded 25 years ago in the Mallorcan town of Valldemossa. The site is dedicated to preserving Mallorca's cultural and scenic heritage.
Hollywood Elegance on the Red Carpet
At the awards ceremony, Carys Zeta Douglas stayed true to her minimalist and elegant style. She opted for a black, form-fitting ankle-length sleeveless dress. She paired it with light-colored open-toe pumps. Her dark hair fell over her shoulders in large waves. Michael Douglas, who held his daughter's hand on the red carpet, appeared in a dark suit under which he wore a light-colored shirt.
Red carpets will likely remain part of Carys' routine in the future, as the 23-year-old is following in her famous parents' footsteps. Most recently, she celebrated an important milestone in her acting career: her professional stage debut in Anton Chekhov's theatrical classic 'The Seagull'. The play was performed as part of a limited run at St. Lydia's, a queer-friendly church in the Brooklyn neighborhood of New York City.
In 2025, Carys Zeta Douglas completed her studies in film studies and international relations at Brown University. She had already gained her first on-camera experience in short films in 2024.
