Netflix celebrated the third season of the reality series "Kaulitz & Kaulitz" on Wednesday evening at Berlin's Delphi Filmpalast. 250 guests were invited, and the new episodes featuring Bill and Tom Kaulitz (36) have been streaming worldwide on the platform since Thursday.
Candy Crash Brought Her Baby
Candy Crash made what was probably the most unusual appearance on the red carpet. The drag queen, who is a cast member in the twins' universe, came to the premiere with her approximately five-month-old baby, as "Bild" reports. The two wore matching leopard-print outfits. The rest of the series family was also in attendance: assistant Daniel Barranco and Sara Alviti also walked the carpet, according to a Netflix statement.
Bill and Tom also brought their bandmates and their families. Georg Listing (39) appeared with his wife Susi, Gustav Schäfer (37) came with his wife Linda and daughter Lotti.
From the celebrity world came Palina Rojinski, Stefanie Giesinger, Olli Schulz, Maximilian Mundt, Runa Greiner, Laura Larsson, Salwa Houmsi, the Tekkal sisters, and politician Felix Banaszak, among others. Also in attendance were the two RTL "Bachelors" Sebastian Paul and Tim Reitz.
Rojinski showed herself to be a fan of the Kaulitz twins when speaking to "Bild": "These two simply love life. Bill and Tom don't limit themselves. That's wonderful! And if I could trade places with them for a day, I'd like to be Tom for the first twelve hours of the day and Bill for the second twelve hours." TV host Jochen Schropp explained to the newspaper why the two brothers from Magdeburg have been successful for years: "They're simply who they are. This level of authenticity is rare in the industry."
Season Four in the Works
Before the guests took their seats at the Delphi, the twins had already completed an excursion: aboard the ship "Gustav", they traveled along the Spree, past two giant rubber ducks that, according to Netflix, bore a striking resemblance to them.
Jenny Augusta hosted the screening, after which the group moved on to the aftershow party. Fans had waited outside the cinema on Kantstraße, some since the afternoon, as "Bild" writes. Bill stepped onto the carpet shortly after 7:30 p.m. in a see-through glitter dress with sequins and over-the-knee boots, Tom in a dark suit.
The premiere also came with an announcement. "We might already be filming more...", Bill Kaulitz revealed on stage according to "Bild" regarding a fourth season. Netflix announced according to "DWDL" the same evening a multi-year partnership with the twins, with several projects reportedly in development.
Co-director Annika Blendl (45), who has been directing "Kaulitz & Kaulitz" since the first season, has a simple explanation for the success. "Bill and Tom are incredibly fascinating characters who constantly reinvent themselves", she told "Bild". "I can't think of any comparable artistic personalities in Germany."
Where Was Heidi Klum?
Tom Kaulitz's wife Heidi Klum (53) was not among the premiere guests. She sent congratulations for the premiere via Instagram story. The model also provided impressions from the beach, where she spent relaxing hours with her son Henry Samuel (20) and dog Fritz.
