Vanessa Trump (48) is battling cancer. The ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. (48) made her diagnosis public in May. Her daughter Kai (19) has now given a hopeful health update. "My mom is doing well", she told "Page Six" at a red carpet event in New York. "She's doing better."
Vanessa Trump announces second phase of treatment
The most recent update from Vanessa Trump herself was about a month ago. On June 13, she wrote on Instagram: "Over the past four weeks, I have been recovering from surgery, and I am grateful to be healing and able to move forward. I will soon begin the second phase of my treatment." She wanted to give other patients "love, strength, and hope" along the way.
She also announced her illness via Instagram at the time. "I was recently diagnosed with cancer." While this is not news one expects, I am working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan", she wrote, thanking the doctors who performed the procedure. She could also count on her loved ones. She is "surrounded by the love and support of my family, my children, and all those close to me."
Support from five children
From her marriage to Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump (80) and his first wife Ivana Trump (1949-2022), Vanessa Trump has five children: sons Donald, Tristan, and Spencer, as well as daughters Kai and Chloe. The couple was married for just over 12 years before Vanessa Trump filed for divorce in 2018. Since March 2025, she has been officially dating golf star Tiger Woods.
