Mourning in the combat sports world: Mixed martial arts star Allan Nascimento (1991-2026) has died at the age of 34. The US-based MMA organization UFC announced this on Instagram, among other platforms.
According to the UFC, the Brazilian combat sports professional was found lifeless on Monday morning after apparently suffering a heart attack in his sleep. "Despite the efforts of the medical team, he was pronounced dead at the scene", the organization's statement reads. "Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Allan's family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time."
The Brazilian fought his last bout in June
Allan Nascimento had been under contract with the UFC since 2021 and had fought his last bout in June. According to media reports, the 34-year-old had an overall record of 22 wins and seven losses in MMA. He trained at Chute Boxe in São Paulo alongside fighters like Charles Oliveira (36). The 36-year-old is one of many who paid tribute to the deceased fighter on social media.
"Today I lost a brother that combat sports gave me", Charles Oliveira wrote in a post. "Thank you for always being by my side, for sharing the mats and the corner with me. I'm infinitely grateful that you were with me - during training, in the corner, and just being together."

"One of the kindest people I've ever had the privilege of meeting through the MMA sport. Rest in peace, Allan", UFC reporter Evelyn Rodrigues also stated elsewhere. "He was one of the nicest fighters I've ever met! Polite, full of positive energy, and always in a good mood! We will miss him. RIP! @chuteboxe_sp and his family, stay strong", UFC fighter Caio Borralho wrote.
