The blood cancer illness of Bruce Springsteen's (76) wife Patti Scialfa (73) is in remission. The musician shared the good news according to U.S. media reports during a virtual appearance as part of the "Pan-Mass Challenge" - a charity bike ride in Massachusetts.
"As you know, Patti has been living with multiple myeloma for over eight years, but now she is fortunately in remission", Springsteen said according to reports in his message. Like millions of families "facing cancer, we have learned what every patient learns: hope has a face", the 76-year-old continued.
"It is our doctor who never stops looking for solutions and caring for us, it is our nurse who sits beside us when we are afraid and always makes our journey a little bit easier", he said.

"Every once in a while, I come to one or two shows and can sing a few songs on stage, and that's a pleasure. That's the new normal for me right now, and I can live with that."
