With moving images, Princess Kate (44) has thanked everyone who supported her in her latest passion project. On Instagram, the Princess of Wales shared photos showing the emotional reunion with her family - shortly after she had completed the National Three Peaks Challenge. "Exactly one week ago, I completed the National Three Peaks Challenge. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity", she wrote alongside the photos.

The images published on Sunday show Kate surrounded by her loved ones: husband Prince William (44), their three children Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (11), and Prince Louis (8), along with her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, brother James Middleton, and a Golden Retriever.

Three Peaks in 24 Hours

What Kate accomplished was anything but a leisurely walk. For the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, she climbed the highest peaks of Scotland, England, and Wales within 24 hours: Ben Nevis (1,345 meters), Scafell Pike (978 meters), and finally Snowdon (1,085 meters). According to the "Daily Mirror", she covered around 37 kilometers on foot, conquered 3,064 meters of elevation, and traveled approximately 740 kilometers by car between the mountains - having started on Saturday night.

Kensington Palace believes that Kate is the first member of the Royal Family to have completed the tour, as the "Daily Mirror" reports. In one photo, she could be seen on the fog-shrouded summit of Ben Nevis.

For Kate, the feat was deeply personal. In March 2024, she was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital in the Chelsea district of London; in early 2025, she announced she was in remission. On the summit of Snowdon, the Princess of Wales found powerful words: "Together we can stand alongside all those living with cancer, and ensure that no one faces this disease unseen or without support".

Cancer doesn't just affect the body, Kate continued: "It transforms how you think and feel, and profoundly impacts every aspect of life. I know this from my own experience." Courage doesn't just mean fighting forward, but "staying grounded, connected, and present, no matter what terrain or landscape you're moving through".

Proud Brother by Her Side

Kate was accompanied on the challenge by her brother James Middleton (39). On Instagram, he expressed being "incredibly proud" of his sister. "Two years ago, I told you we would climb this mountain together. We talked about mountaineering when you were in the hospital, and about the incredible healing power that nature can have for body and mind", he wrote. It had been an honor to be by her side.

"Seeing how far you've already come is simply inspiring", he explained further. "Your strength, your resilience, and your determination - all while being the most wonderful mother, wife, daughter, and sister - inspire me and so many others every single day."

At Snowdon, additional family members finally awaited the returning climber. Eleven-year-old Princess Charlotte and twelve-year-old Prince George were part of the welcoming committee, according to the BBC, as were Prince William and Kate's parents.

Together with the Royal Marsden, Kate launched a fundraising page, with proceeds going toward holistic care for patients. Dame Cally Palmer from the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust expressed gratitude according to the "Daily Mirror": "We are deeply grateful for this generous support, which will transform the lives of so many cancer patients and their families."
