Steffi Brungs (37) appeared in high spirits at the "Frauen100 Summer Night" on Thursday in Berlin. Wearing a pink one-shoulder mini dress, the host posed radiantly for the cameras. She also shared cheerful impressions from the event on Instagram, laughing together with actress Chryssanthi Kavazi (37) into the camera, among other moments. There was no sign of the difficult phase in her private life that evening. Just a few days earlier, the separation from her husband Chris Wackert (37) had become public.
Wackert's management confirmed the separation on Tuesday upon inquiry by the news agency spot on news. The host did not wish to comment on further personal details. According to the "Bild" newspaper, citing sources close to the couple, both had jointly and consciously decided to go their separate ways in the future. The separation reportedly took place about six weeks ago. Wackert has since moved out of the shared house in Cologne.
Together in the Spotlight
Brungs is known to RTL audiences primarily as a VIP expert and can be seen regularly on the midday magazine "Punkt 12," among other shows. Wackert, in turn, is part of the hosting team of "Sat.1-Frühstücksfernsehen." Together they hosted the Netflix format "Love Is Blind: Germany." While they accompanied singles searching for true love there, their own marriage apparently entered a crisis.
The two had first met back in 2014 at a student party. Five years later came the wedding, which they celebrated both in Potsdam and in Hawaii. In addition to their work in front of the camera, they also ran a joint podcast called "TraumBar." The most recent episode to date was released in May.
